First we drain your pool thru the sewer clean out by your front door, using a submersable pump. This usually takes about eight to ten hours. We like to drain your pool over night, so the pool doesn't sit empty any longer than it has to. Next we carefully mix acid, water and a special additive. Then we pour this solution on the plaster brushing the plaster until it's clean, then rinse. Sometimes we have to go over the same area several times. The special additive keep us from etching or harming the plaster. We flush out the lines, clean the filters and then fill your pool. Returning when the pool is full usually the next day and adding all the start up chemicals. The acid wash process usually takes anywhere from two to five hours depending on the size and problem the pool might have. We reccomend your pool is drained and lightly acid washed every two to three years, due to hard water deposits that build on your plaster and tile . Acid washing runs 450.00 for a small pool with no spa, 550.00 for a pool spa combination, 600.00 and up for a large pool. Prices may very depending on each individual situation. An improper acid wash can ruin the plaster, please make sure you use a qualified company such as Porta Vac.
